Viennese Shortbread

The best recipe for Pierre Hermé’s Viennese Shortbread or Spritz, melt-in-the-mouth and ready in just a few minutes. Very simple and quick to make. Ideal for a good snack.

Ingredients

  • 190 g of soft butter
  • 75 g of icing sugar
  • 1 egg white (30 g)
  • 225 g of flour
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 1 Teaspoon of Vanilla
  • 150 g of dark or milk chocolate

Instructions

  1. First mix the butter, then add egg white and icing sugar.
  2. Then add a pinch of salt and vanilla extract.
  3. Finally incorporate the flour to obtain a soft mixture.
  4. Transfer to the piping bag and shape the biscuits.
  5. Bake at 180° for 12 minutes.
  6. Melt the chocolate and decorate the biscuits.
