Baked potatoes wrapped in bacon


Baked potatoes rolled in bacon are a delicious side dish that can be prepared in just a few minutes.

Cut the potatoes into wedges, bread them in a mix of parmesan, spices and herbs and roll them in a slice of bacon which will become nice and crunchy when cooked in the oven, creating a truly delicious crust.

They are perfect as finger food, an aperitif and also to be enjoyed in front of the television during an evening with friends.


  • 6 potatoes, medium
  • 100 g parmesan, grated
  • 2 tablespoons breadcrumbs
  • oregano to taste
  • to taste thyme
  • to taste marjoram, (or aromatic herbs of your choice)
  • a teaspoon paprika
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 200g bacon, sliced


  1. Peel the potatoes and cut them into not too thin wedges.
  2. In a large bowl, pour the parmesan with the breadcrumbs, all the aromatic herbs and spices you prefer, season with salt and pepper and mix well.
  3. Sread the potato wedges in the parmesan mix then wrap them in bacon.
  4. Line the oven tray with baking paper and place all the potato wedges.
  5. Cook in a hot oven at 190° for about 35 minutes until the potatoes are cooked and golden.
