Bread and Nutella rolls are sweet finger foods prepared with only 2 ingredients : sandwich bread and Nutella. They are delicious to serve at birthday parties , in buffets or as a children’s snack. They can be prepared in advance and stored in the fridge, but they only take 5 minutes to make so you can start just before the party. Children love them, they are so soft and enveloping in the mouth that they look like chocolates . These bread and Nutella rolls are without cooking , which is why they are perfect to prepare even in the summer . If you use gluten-free sandwich bread and make sure that the hazelnut cream also does not contain gluten, you can also serve the rolls to celiac guests.

Ingredients

  • 3 slices of rectangular sandwich bread (approximately 50 g each)
  • Nutella (or other hazelnut cream)

Instructions

  1. Roll out the bread slices from short side to short side with a rolling pin.
  2. Spread the Nutella (or other hazelnut cream) over the entire surface of the bread.
  3. If the cream is compact and you cannot spread it easily, heat it in a bain-marie or place it near a heat source.
  4. Starting from the short side, roll the slice of bread up to the other short side.Repeat the same procedure with the other slices of bread.
  5. Place the rolls in the fridge for at least 30 minutes.
  6. This operation is essential to compact both the bread and the Nutella, at the end of the rest in the fridge they will cut easily and you will obtain perfect rolls.
  7. Cut each roll into slices about 1.5 cm thick.
  8. Store the rolls in the refrigerator until ready to serve (especially in summer), otherwise cut them a few minutes before serving.
