Ingredients
- 2 cups flour
- 2 tsp cornstarch
- 1 tsp baking soda
- ½ tsp salt
- ¾ cup butter room temperature
- ½ cup white sugar
- ¾ cup brown sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- ½ cup chopped walnuts
- 1 ¼ cups chocolate chips
Instructions
- Heat walnuts for 10 min in a small skillet over medium heat, stirring often. Transfer to a plate to cool while making the cookie dough.
- Preheat the oven to 350°, and line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
- In a small mixing bowl, mix flour, cornstarch, baking soda and salt. Set aside.
- In a separate large bowl, using an electric mixer, cream together butter and sugars. Beat in egg and vanilla extract until fluffy.
- Add the dry ingredients to the wet ones and stir until just combined. Fold in the walnuts and chocolate chips to cookie dough, mix well.
- Roll 1.5 TBSP of dough into balls (or use a medium sized cookie scoop!) and place them on the baking sheet.
- Bake for 9-11 minutes. Let them cool 1-2 minutes before removing to cooling rack. Enjoy!
