Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 packet active dry yeast (about 2 1/4 teaspoons)
  • 3/4 cup warm milk
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup melted butter
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • large egg

Filling

  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup softened butter

Icing

  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1-2 tablespoons milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. n a large mixing bowl, combine warm milk and yeast. Allow to sit for 5 minutes until foamy.
  2. Mix in sugar, melted butter, salt, and egg. Gradually add flour and mix until a dough forms.
  3. Knead the dough for about 5 minutes until smooth. Place it in a greased bowl, cover with a cloth, and let it rise for an hour.
  4. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  5. In a bowl, mix brown sugar, cinnamon, and softened butter for the filling.
  6. Roll out the dough on a floured surface into a large rectangle. Spread the filling mixture evenly.
  7. Cut out circles using a cookie cutter or a glass. Place a teaspoon of filling in the center of each circle.
  8. Fold the dough over the filling and pinch the edges to seal, forming a ball.
  9. Place bread bombs on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  10. Bake for 15 minutes or until golden brown.
  11. For the icing, mix powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract in a bowl until smooth. Drizzle over warm bread bombs.
