Childhood friend and taste of childhood – Ryzhik cake orlazy honey cake. There are thousands of honey cake recipes, each one different in some way. Not everyone can bake a classic honey cake from several layers; for lazy people, they came up with a lazy cake-pie. Fragrant honey and eggs with a bright yolk set the taste and color, the homemade cake turns out red, plump, porous, sour cream fits harmoniously. So tasty and so simple, try it!

Ingredients for a 20-22 cm mold:

  • 200 g honey;
  • 100 g sugar;
  • 100 g butter;
  • 50 ml milk;
  • 3 chicken eggs;
  • 200 g wheat flour;
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda;
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder;
  • a pinch of salt, vanilla extract.

Ingredients for cream:

  • 500 g sour cream 20% or higher;
  • 70 g powdered sugar.

How to make lazy honey cake

Step 1:

Prepare the dough. Pour milk into a saucepan, add butter, honey, and add a pinch of salt.

Step 2:

Slowly heat the mixture. When it heats up almost to a boil, add baking soda, mix, the contents of the saucepan will begin to foam abundantly. Cook for 1-2 minutes after boiling, remove the saucepan from the heat, and cool.

Step 3:

Beat the eggs with sugar for several minutes until the sugar grains have completely melted, add vanilla extract. Mix wheat flour with baking powder. Measure out the baking soda and baking powder with a teaspoon (under a knife), no mounds!

Step 4:

Add the honey mixture and beaten eggs to the dry ingredients.

Step 5:

Using a spoon or spatula, mix the dough until smooth. The dough will be fluid, not very thick, as it should be.

Step 6:

We put a baking dish (size 20-22 cm) in a “French shirt” – grease it with soft butter and sprinkle it with wheat flour. Shake off excess flour and pour the dough into the prepared pan.

Step 7:

Baking time is 45 minutes at 180 degrees Celsius. Leave the finished cake in the pan for 10 minutes, then remove and cool on a wire rack.

Step 8:

Cut the cooled cake into four parts. Cut off some crumbs to decorate the cake.

Step 9:

Preparing the cream. Beat cold sour cream with powdered sugar.

Step 10:

Assembling the cake: divide the cream into 5 parts. Grease each cake with cream and place one on top of the other.

Step 11:

Coat the cake with cream around.

Sprinkle the lazy honey cake with crumbs and put it in the refrigerator for 10-12 hours. Bon appetit!
