Spiral muffins are simple desserts to make but very scenic, ideal for any time of the day, from breakfast to snack, in place of the more famous cakes.Just like the Marbled cake, they are prepared starting from a single dough, to which a little cocoa is added. The wow effect? The two compounds are joined to form a spiral, for an optical effect that will leave adults and children speechless!
Ingredients
- Flour 140 g
- Medium eggs 2
- Butter 80 g
- Milk 30 g
- Sugar 70 g
- Baking powder 6 g
- Salt 1 pinch
- Vanilla extract 1 teaspoon
- Bitter cocoa powder 5 g
Instructions
- In the bowl of a stand mixer fitted with a whisk, place the butter at room temperature, the sugar and the vanilla extract and beat everything until you obtain a frothy cream.
- Still with the machine running, add the eggs one by one, also at room temperature, and a drop of milk and continue beating for a few more minutes.
- Sift the flour and yeast into the bowl and mix them with the other ingredients with a spatula, also adding the salt. Once you have obtained a homogeneous mixture, take a 40 g portion, flavor it with cocoa powder and add a drop of milk to make it more workable.
- At this point transfer the two mixtures into two piping bags.
Composition
- Line the muffin tin with the appropriate paper cups and squeeze the prepared light mixture into each of them, reaching up to ⅔ of their height. Then use the piping bag with the cocoa
- mixture to create a spiral on the surface of each cake.
Cooking
- Bake in a static oven preheated to 175° for 30 minutes and do the toothpick test before taking them out of the oven.
- Once cooked, take them out of the oven and let them cool completely before enjoying them.
