- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1 tablespoon cumin seeds
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 2 tablespoon milk
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 180 C degrees. Spread cumin seeds on a baking tray lined with a baking sheet. Roast them in the oven for 4 minutes or until it gives out a nice aroma. Keep aside.
- Mix butter and sugar in a bowl using a hand mixer. Then add flour, salt and 3/4 tbsp of cumin seeds to the mixture and combine. Reserve the rest of the cumin seeds for garnishing. Combine until the mixture looks smooth and form a dough. Add milk to make the dough smoother
- Sprinkle a little flour on a flat surface and flatten the dough using a rolling pin. Cut cookies in your preferred shape using cookie cutters and sprinkle the reserved cumin seeds on top.
- Place the cookies in a baking tray and bake at 180 C degrees for 10 minutes. After that, take the baking tray out and reduce the temperature to 160 C degrees. Again, bake for 5-6 minutes or till they are golden brown from all the sides. Place the cookies on a wire rack and let them cool down.
- Serve the cookies or serve them for usage later.
