This braided toast is lightly sweet and golden brown, it’s a delicious breakfast or brunch.
Ingredients
- 300g high flour
- 140g milk
- 3g high sugar resistant yeast
- 20g sugar
- 2g salt
- 50g eggs (leave some for brushing)
- 20g milk powder
- 20g butter
Instructions
- Mix all ingredients except butter and knead for 10 minutes
- Add butter. Cut the butter into small pieces and put it in.
- Continue kneading the dough at high speed for ten minutes.
- Let the dough ferment once
- Ferment until doubled in size
- Deflate the dough and divide it into 2 portions
- Divide each portion into 3 small pieces of dough and roll into balls
- Rest for 5 minutes and roll out a small dough.
- Roll up from the long side
- Continue to relax for 5 minutes
- Knead the dough again until it grows to 40 cm and then braid it
- Put in the toast box, this is a 300g toast box, this recipe can make 2 pieces
- Brush with egg wash
- Bake at 170 degrees for 35 minutes, cover with aluminum foil
