Braided toast


This braided toast is lightly sweet and golden brown, it’s a delicious breakfast or brunch.


  • 300g high flour
  • 140g milk
  • 3g high sugar resistant yeast
  • 20g sugar
  • 2g salt
  • 50g eggs (leave some for brushing)
  • 20g milk powder
  • 20g butter


  1. Mix all ingredients except butter and knead for 10 minutes
  2. Add butter. Cut the butter into small pieces and put it in.
  3. Continue kneading the dough at high speed for ten minutes.
  4. Let the dough ferment once
  5. Ferment until doubled in size
  6. Deflate the dough and divide it into 2 portions
  7. Divide each portion into 3 small pieces of dough and roll into balls
  8. Rest for 5 minutes and roll out a small dough.
  9. Roll up from the long side
  10. Continue to relax for 5 minutes
  11. Knead the dough again until it grows to 40 cm and then braid it
  12. Put in the toast box, this is a 300g toast box, this recipe can make 2 pieces
  13. Brush with egg wash
  14. Bake at 170 degrees for 35 minutes, cover with aluminum foil
