Orange muffins with chocolate chips are very fragrant and very soft sweets in which the aroma of the orange combines with the flavor of the chocolate. Easy, they can be prepared in 5 minutes and will literally sell out.
If you don’t have chocolate chips you can chop some dark chocolate or chopped dried fruit.
Ingredients
- 1 Egg
- 80 g Caster sugar
- Juice and zest of 1 Orange
- 80ml Seed oil
- 150 g flour
- 1 / 2 sachet Baking powder for cakes
- 30 g Chocolate chips
Instructions
- In a bowl, combine all the dry ingredients: the sifted flour and yeast, the sugar, the grated orange zest and mix all the ingredients with a hand whisk.
- In another bowl, combine all the liquid ingredients: the egg, the orange juice, the seed oil and mix them too with a hand whisk.
- At this point, add the liquid mixture to the dry ingredients, add the chocolate chips and mix quickly. The secret to having soft muffins is to work them as little as possible.
- Pour the mixture 3/4 of the way into the paper cups (disposable aluminum single-dose ones will also work fine) and finish with the chocolate flakes.
- Bake in a preheated static oven at 180 degrees for 20-25 minutes. Before taking it out of the oven, always do the toothpick test, it must come out dry.
- Let your muffins cool to room temperature and sprinkle with plenty of icing sugar if desired.
