Simple zebra cake


The ZEBRA CAKE is a two-tone dessert, which when cut amazes with its cocoa and vanilla stripes.Super soft and delicious, it is perfect for breakfast and snacks for the whole family.


  • medium eggs 4
  • Sugar 180 g
  • flour 300 g
  • Milk 150 ml
  • Seed oil 150 ml
  • Baking powder for cakes 1 sachet
  • Vanillin 1 sachet
  • Bitter cocoa powder 2 tablespoons
  • Milk 1 tbsp


  1. In a bowl, beat the eggs with the sugar with an electric whisk until the mixture is light and fluffy.
  2. Gradually add the milk first, and then the seed oil. Continue mixing with the whisk.
  3. Add the vanilla and mix.
  4. Add the previously sifted flour and yeast several times. Mix until you obtain a smooth mixture without lumps.
  5. Now divide the dough into two equal parts in two different bowls. In one of the two, add 2 tablespoons of sifted bitter cocoa and dilute with a tablespoon of milk.
  6. Brush a 24cm mold with HOMEMADE PAN REMOVER .
  7. First pour 3 tablespoons of white mixture into the center and then 3 tablespoons of cocoa mixture. Alternate them until the end of the two compounds.
  8. Bake in a preheated static oven at 180° for 40 minutes. Always do the toothpick test to check for doneness, it must come out dry!
  9. Remove the Zebra Cake from the oven and let it cool to room temperature, then turn it out and serve it.
