Super Moist Red Velvet Marble Cake

Hey guys! I feel like we’re all ready for some cake again right? These are my favorite kind- easy, not frosted, and super flavorful. This is what I like to call a breakfast cake, as in “you won’t be judged for eating this with coffee as breakfast cake.” Let’s go there.

  • 2/3 cup unsalted butter (150g)
  • 2/3 cup cream cheese (150g)
  • 1 cup sugar (200g)
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract (10ml)
  • 4 large eggs (room temp)
  • 2 cups all purpose flour (250g)
  • 2 tsp baking powder (8g)
  • 1 tsp salt (5g)
  • 1 tbsp pure cocoa powder
  • 2 tsp red food dye

  1. Preheat oven at 160C or 320F. Mix softened butter and cream cheese until smooth.
  2. Add sugar and vanilla, beat until light and fluffy.
  3. Beat 4 eggs and gradually add to the mixture. Scrape sides and bottom.
  4. Sift in gradually, all purpose flour, baking powder and tsp salt. Add the flour mixture in three additions.
  5. To another bowl, set aside 2 cups of the batter.
  6. Then add cocoa powder and red food dye to remaining batter and mix.
  7. Grease a 9 x 5 inches loaf dish. Place the batter alternately.
  8. Spread evenly.
  9. Bake in a preheated oven for 45 to 50 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean when inserted.
  10. Let it cool down.
  11. Serve and enjoy!
