Step by step we will present you a great recipe for baked delicious honey chicken thighs in a mild sauce with vegetables and potatoes. Don’t wait for anything and throw yourself into the preparations before it’s too late, every novice cook can do it!
What will we need:
- 8 chicken thighs (1.2 kg)
- salt – to taste
- ground black pepper – to taste
- oregano – to taste
- olive oil – for brushing
- 15 g of butter – for frying
Mixture:
- 3 spoons of honey
- 4 tablespoons sweet chili sauce
- 3 spoons of soy sauce
- juice of 1/2 lemon
- 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
Attachment:
- 1 onion (120 g)
- 4 carrots (200 g)
- 6 potatoes (700 g)
- ground black pepper – to taste
- salt – to taste
- 3 cloves of garlic
- a bunch of fresh parsley
How are we going to proceed:
1. Wash and dry the chicken thighs with paper towels, then season both sides with salt, ground black pepper and oregano and drizzle with olive oil – massaging with your hands to absorb all the spices with the olive oil.
2. Place seasoned and olive oil-dried chicken legs on a heated pan with butter – fry them for 4-6 minutes on each side until golden and transfer them to a plate after frying.
3. Mixture: Pour honey, sweet chili sauce, soy sauce, juice of 1/2 lemon into an oval bowl and add Dijon mustard – mix well.
4. Side dish: Pour chopped onion into the same pan and fry for 2-3 minutes on a low heat. Then add carrots cut into larger pieces and then potatoes. Season with salt and ground black pepper – fry together for 7-10 minutes. Finally, add finely chopped garlic and sprinkle in freshly chopped parsley – mix.
5. Prepare a baking dish and transfer the fried vegetables and potatoes into it, spread them out nicely and then place the fried chicken legs on it, which you pour over the prepared sauce.
6. Bake in a preheated oven for 20-25 minutes at 200 °C.
